When should I pay for a trip?
Full payment reserves your space on the trip. We do not take deposits. It is suggested you pay for the trip shortly after signing up for it to assure your space on the trip. You will get an email when payment is received.
What is your trip cancellations policy?
If you cancel before the published deadline date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel
after that date, you can sell or give away your space to someone else, but there is no refund.
Do you sell trip insurance?

What kind of motor coaches do you provide and do they have a bathroom?
Our motor coaches are chartered. They are usually 56 passenger luxury motor coaches and yes, they have a bathroom.
Where do I catch the bus?
Regularly scheduled trips pick up at the following places:
1. Sun City residents catch the bus in the Pinckney Hall parking lot.
2. Bluffton, Hilton Head, Beaufort and surrounding area travelers catch the bus in the parking lot of the Hardeeville Super Wal-Mart, 4400 Hwy 278 (near Sun City) behind the service station.
3. Savannah area residents catch the bus in the Hardees parking lot, 100 Governor Treutlen Rd., Pooler at the Pooler exit.
Will you plan a trip for my church group or organization?
Yes. We customize trips for a minimum of 30 people or we can reserve seats for your group to join one of our scheduled trips. We work with many clubs and organizations. Customized trips pick-up occurs at a location convenient for the group.
Who escorts the trips?
Either I escort the trip or one of my associates will be the escort. On occasion, there will be two of us.
I do not drive in the dark. Can you get me a ride to meet the bus?
We will give you the names of other people from your area who are taking the trip and will try to help you work it out so you can join the trip.
I am single and would like to go on an overnight trip, but I do not have
anybody to travel with. Can you find me a roommate?
We will put you in touch with other singles looking for a roommate. We suggest you sign up for the trip as early as possible to allow for time to find a roommate.
Do you ever let small dogs travel on the bus?
No.
What does the “trip deadline” mean?
Trips must be paid in full by the deadline date. The minimum number of people (usually 30) must be signed up for a trip by the “trip deadline” date or the trip will be cancelled. Trips will be refunded if cancelled before the published deadline date.
Can I sign up after the “deadline date?
Yes. Trips remain open as long as space is available. It will be noted on the website when a trip is full. Even when a trip is full, it is prudent to go ahead and sign up. You will then be placed on a wait list.
What does “do you have any dietary needs or special requests” mean?
If you are a vegetarian, have food allergies, need a reserved seat close to the front of the bus because of motion sickness or mobility issues, you should let us know well before the trip so we can try to accommodate your needs.
Are tips included in the price of the trip?
Tips and gratuities for meals, hotels and the bus driver are included in the trip package. Tips for guides for various tours are at your discretion.

Where do you make talks about travel?
Clubs and organizations frequently ask me to be their speaker and talk about places to visit close to home. I have covered everything from romantic get-aways to spring flings; summer family vacations to holiday magic; backroads trip to the islands of GA.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes. By signing and sending in the form, you will agree to the following:
I (we) waive any claim against tour coordinators, Weekend Get-Aways on a Tank of Gas, LLC or Scottie Davis for any damage to or loss of property or injury to or death of persons due to any act of negligence by any bus, hotel, or other persons rendering any of the services and accommodations on this trip. The tour coordinators, Weekend Get-Aways on a Tank of Gas, LLC and Scottie Davis shall not be responsible for any delays, substitution of equipment or itinerary or any act of omission whatsoever by the carrier, its agents, servants, and employees. Participants and travelers hereby waive any claim(s) arising there from. The receipt of full payment by any participant indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
